Parents Should Brush Up Before Teaching Teens To Drive - A Pass Ahead Driving School
According to What Car? Magazine, 45% of UK drivers are likely to fail the current driving test. In the present economic climate, it seems many parents have taken to teaching their children to drive instead of using qualified instructors. In the majority of cases, however, parents’ knowledge is out of date.

What Car? suggest that parents should take a couple of refresher lessons before teaching their teenagers to drive, and that any time teens spend driving with parents should be in addition to lessons with a professional instructor.

“With over 45% of UK drivers likely to fail the current driving test it is all too clear that these drivers need a refresher driving lesson or two to ensure they do not pass on their bad habits to their teenagers”.

The most common bad habits include:
• Approaching junctions too quickly
• Rushing observations
• Incorrect use of speed
• Driving too close to the vehicle in front
• Not using mirrors enough

If you’d like to take a refresher course in order to help your kids with their driving lessons, contact A Pass Ahead Driving School today.
